Avi Resort & Casino is a 455-room property located on the banks of the historic Colorado River in Laughlin, NV. Owned by the Fort Mojave Indian Tribe, Avi has carved out a niche as one of the region’s most popular resort destinations. The property not only welcomes hundreds of tourists each week but also hosts business meetings, conferences, receptions and other events. With crowds like that, Avi realized it needed a property management system that would increase efficiency and enhance guest service. Avi’s wish list also included a Web-based room reservations system that would allow guests to book rooms over the Internet. More>>
The Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center, a 3,000-room property located in Nashville, TN, is the world’s largest combined hotel and convention center under one roof. The resort plays host to thousands of tourists each month and also caters to business clientele and conference attendees who make up approximately 80 percent of its business. With more than 4 million people staying at Gaylord Opryland each year, the hotel wanted to raise the standard for processing arriving and departing guests. The layout of the sprawling property made a traditional lobby check-in system slow and inefficient. What’s more, the sheer number of convention attendees who arrived and departed all at once—sometimes more than 2,000 people within just a few hours—often created logjams at the front desk. Something had to be done to streamline the entire check-in and check-out process. More>>
Mandalay Resort Group (MRG) owns and operates more than a dozen world-class entertainment destination properties. At MRG hotels, particularly the ones in Las Vegas, business demands often fluctuate wildly. These hotels have to keep an accurate accounting of their inventory. Yet some of the properties were using outdated inventory management software systems and others were using manual systems that were woefully inadequate. MRG realized something had to be done to streamline the entire inventory and purchasing process. The company needed an automated inventory management system that was efficient, flexible and reliable in meeting the needs of a number of diverse properties if it wanted to remain competitive. More>>
