ALPHARETTA, GA. — July 9, 2014 — Agilysys, Inc. (Nasdaq: AGYS), a leading provider of innovative information technology and hospitality software and services, today announced that Cal Dining at the University of California, Berkeley, has selected the Agilysys Eatec® inventory and procurement solution to streamline its campus foodservice operations. Cal Dining uses the solution in 21 locations, including residential dining halls, campus restaurants and retail markets. They also use the Eatec system to support on-campus catering as well as concessions at sporting events.
"When shopping for a new inventory and procurement solution, we looked at a number of systems and decided on the Agilysys Eatec solution for several reasons," said Shawn LaPean, executive director at Cal Dining. "Not only is Eatec the most cost-efficient solution but it also has the flexibility required to meet our diverse dining requirements. Agilysys also has a more hands-on approach to software implementation than the other vendors we interviewed, particularly when it comes to best practice techniques. We're looking for a technology partner, and we've found it in Agilysys. Most importantly, the Eatec system offers the total package, with features and functionality that will enable us lower food and labor costs, track nutritional information, monitor sustainability performance and enhance efficiency throughout our operation."
