InfoGenesis Security Patch Policy
InfoGenesis is committed to ensuring InfoGenesis software resides on secure Microsoft platforms. Microsoft typically releases security patches every second Tuesday of each month (or sooner in the case of an emergency). To protect our customers and their systems, as soon as a patch is released by Microsoft, InfoGenesis evaluates the effect it may have on the different InfoGenesis platforms. If necessary, InfoGenesis begins checking the security patch to make sure it has no adverse effects on InfoGenesis software. Testing is performed against the most recently released version of InfoGenesis software available at the time Microsoft announces the availability of a security patch.
To download and install Microsoft security patches:
- Select your operating system (OS)

- Choose the patch you need
- Download the patch
- Install the patch following the instructions provided with the patch
To get started, select your operating system from the following options:
To determine which version of Windows you're running:
- From the taskbar, click Start, then click Run
- In the Run dialog box, type: winver
- Click OK
A dialog diplays the version you're running.
To determine your Windows version from a touchscreen terminal:
- Launch Windows Explorer
- Navigate to c:\Windows\System32
- Double-tap winver.exe
A dialog diplays the Windows Version, the Build number, and the Service Pack level.
