ATLANTA — July 30, 2012 — For the next two weeks, Agilysys (Nasdaq: AGYS) software solutions will be used extensively throughout London and the United Kingdom, as sporting venues and hotels rely on Agilysys technology to streamline operations, improve efficiency and enhance guest service.
More than a thousand point-of-sale terminals in food outlets and concessions throughout London and the surrounding area will be using Agilysys InfoGenesis™ POS software during the upcoming international athletic events. The NEC Group, a Birmingham-based venue management company, recently selected Agilysys as its point-of-sale solutions provider. The NEC Group operates four world-class venues: the National Exhibition Centre, the International Convention Centre, LG Arena and the National Indoor Arena. Other venues using Agilysys point-of-sale technology include: ExCeL London, which will host boxing, fencing, judo, table tennis, taekwondo, weightlifting and wrestling; Lord's Cricket Ground, hosting archery; North Greenwich Arena, hosting basketball, gymnastics and trampolining; and Old Trafford Stadium, hosting football. Many of these venues will utilize Agilysys contactless payment options, which can reduce operational costs, boost profit margins and improve the guest experience.
In addition, hoteliers throughout the region will rely on Agilysys software systems to ensure smooth delivery of services.
