An Interview with Don DeMarinis on Driving Gaming Industry Success

Dec 07, 2018

The latest tech enhancements from Agilysys, a leader in hospitality technology, brings a fresh user interface (UI) and integration to its existing property management solutions. While the new UI makes the technology simpler to learn and navigate, the integration enables newer technologies to connect to it. With a younger population coming to work in hotels and resorts, the expectations are that tech interfaces be familiar and easy to use.

"So much of what we do is determined by our customers' need to shape the guest journey.”

Don DeMarinis, SVP of Sales, Agilysys

Agilysys is arguably the only company in its space to use its hospitality software throughout the entire guest journey. From booking a hotel on the website, which automatically synchronizes to the PMS, checking-in via kiosk or the guest’s mobile phone, purchasing food in restaurants and in the room, to booking a tee time, dining reservations or a spa treatment.

To further support the guest journey, guest-facing tech is being deployed in ways that are seamless and bring immediate value to resorts. The Agilysys team starts with a detailed site survey and workflow assessments. Self-serve products must be intuitive. No one wants to or has the time to stand in front of a technology and fumble around trying to figure out how it works. Agilysys’ kiosk solution does just that while also providing the ability to tailor the kiosk to the property’s branding and unique workflows. These enhancements jump out on the screen. They will soon be ready for gaming properties with essential integration points to include spa, golf and other activities.

"Agilysys has been around for years and has really taken several leaps forward in recent months.”

Roger Gros, Publisher, Global Gaming Business
