Three Days of "Pure Hospitality" at HITEC Houston

Thursday concluded this year’s HITEC conference in Houston, one of the largest hospitality technology conference in North America. The event featured a number of educational sessions and a vibrant exhibition hall where attendees could explore trending technology for hotels, resorts, cruise and other hospitality markets. The Agilysys booth brought a focus of Pure Hospitality to the show and showcased several solutions designed specifically to drive guest engagement. Here are some event highlights:

Captivating Sessions

During the three days of in-depth sessions, participants had the opportunity to network with industry influencers and peers while learning from subject matter experts. A number of trending topics were discussed during the technical sessions, covering areas such as IT and data security, energy and sustainability, as well as many new, innovative technologies and how integrated solutions are working together to support the entire enterprise.

GDPR Support

Fresh on everyone’s minds, GDPR was a consistent theme in data security sessions throughout the event. The topic also had its own session, simply titled “GDPR Update” which covered the effects the new regulation has on the hospitality industry, and specifically the use of technology and data within hospitality going forward. Innovative Solutions

In the exhibition hall, attendees were filled with excitement as they explored all the latest technology trends with a peek into the future of hospitality. The Agilysys booth was a popular spot as attendees were eager to see and hear from the teams behind the technology. The booth showcased new modules for property management, specifically a new self-service kiosk and a commission-free online booking engine. Also featured at the booth was the new and exciting enterprise functionality with the company’s award-winning POS.
