Croc's Casino Resort Selects Comprehensive Agilysys Solution Suite

ALPHARETTA, GA. — June 25, 2015 — Agilysys, Inc. (Nasdaq: AGYS), a leading global provider of next-generation hospitality software solutions and services, today announced that Croc's Casino Resort in Jacó, Costa Rica, has selected a comprehensive solution suite ─ including systems for property management, point-of-sale, and inventory and procurement ─ to optimize efficiency and enhance guest service throughout the new property. Croc's, the first Las Vegas-style luxury hotel, condominium and casino in Costa Rica, opened in February.

Croc's Casino Resort features a mix of hotel rooms and beachfront condominiums as well as a casino, full-service spa, fitness center, several dining options, retail shops and conference facilities. Faced with a broad range of guest service and hospitality management requirements, the property's executive team conducted an extensive evaluation to identify the best solutions to address the entire guest lifecycle.

Croc's Casino Resort is using the following Agilysys software solutions:

  • Visual One™ PMS, a comprehensive and fully integrated property management system that offers a wide range of best-in-class features and functionality, including front office operations, guest history, housekeeping, reservations management and more. Its user-friendly screens are laid out in a logical and understandable format with quick-feature icons and drag-and-drop capabilities. The system also has optional modules for accounting, activities, club management, comp accounting, condo accounting, guest marketing, sales and catering, and spa management. Other features include a rate and availability calculator, enhanced guest stay search screens, integrated reporting and an online shopping cart than allows guests to book rooms, spa appointments, tee times and activities with a single itinerary.

  • InfoGenesis™ POS, an industry-leading point-of-sale solution that combines powerful reporting and configuration capabilities in the back office with an easy-to-use touchscreen terminal application. Designed for multi-unit operations common in hospitality environments, the system can manage any combination of dining, bar service and retail operations. InfoGenesis POS features real-time reporting capabilities, packages and prix fixe menus, signature capture and multi-language capability. It interfaces with a wide range of host systems, such as gift card and guest management solution providers, and is available as an on-premises or hosted application. 

  • Eatec®, a full-featured inventory and procurement system designed specifically for the hospitality and foodservice industries. Along with its core purchasing, inventory, recipe, forecasting, production and sales analysis functions, the system also offers modules for buffet management, catering, cycle planning, nutrition and retail management. The modular structure allows customers to construct the exact set of features they need — whether it is an enterprise-wide solution for multiple sites or a single-site system for multiple functions. The solution also offers more than 400 standard reports, which enable purchasing staff to make more informed and intelligent business decisions.

Croc's Casino Resort is situated against the backdrop of the Pacific Ocean and is flanked by the Costa Rican Rain Forest and the charming town of Jacó. The property features 152 luxury hotel rooms, 44 beachfront condominiums, Las Vegas-style casino, three restaurants, five-star pool, fitness center, spa, salon and retail shops. The resort, which opened in February 2015, is owned by Dag Hascall, president of Hascall Steel Company.
