Our Story
What started as three engineers with a bold vision has evolved into a global powerhouse, transforming how businesses operate in the digital age.
Agilysys originated from a merger between Standard Radio (1932) and Pioneer (1946), forming Pioneer-Standard Electronics in 1963. It went public in 1971 under the symbol PIOS.
In 2003, the company shifted its focus from electronics distribution to software and services, rebranding as Agilysys, Inc. (AGYS). After divesting its distribution and retail divisions by 2013, Agilysys concentrated solely on the hospitality industry.
Today, it provides innovative technology solutions—including POS, property management, analytics, and mobile tools—to improve operations and guest experiences. Agilysys serves customers in gaming, hospitality, foodservice, and healthcare across North America, Europe, and Asia, with headquarters in Alpharetta, Georgia.
