Annual Event Provides Assistance to Underprivileged Children in Las Vegas Valley
ALPHARETTA, GA. — Dec. 8, 2015 — Agilysys, Inc. (Nasdaq: AGYS), a leading global provider of next-generation hospitality software solutions and services, today announced that it will participate as a sponsor in the upcoming Technology and Diversity for Charity 2015 Holiday Gala. The event will be held Friday, Dec. 11, at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
The gala will feature a live auction and raffle, with proceeds benefiting non-profit programs for underprivileged children in the Las Vegas Valley. Agilysys' participation in the Technology and Diversity for Charity Holiday Gala supports the company's 'Lasting Connections' initiative, which encourages community outreach. And, in conjunction with its annual sales kick-off meeting earlier this year, the company donated an external hard drive and three Adobe Creative Cloud licenses to the Brookhaven (Atlanta) Boys & Girls Club.
"Our 'Lasting Connections' initiative is all about giving back to the communities where we live and work, and the Technology and Diversity for Charity Holiday Gala is a great way for us to do that," said Jim Dennedy, president and chief executive officer of Agilysys. "It's especially gratifying to participate in an event that brings happiness to kids. We encourage our employees to donate their time and skills to local charitable organizations and causes they care about, not only during the holiday season but throughout the year."
